Zonia Way (née Matticx) (9 May 1905 – fl. July 2015) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group. She was one of the oldest known living people in Illinois, USA.

Biography

Zonia Matticx was born in Meridian, Mississippi on 9 May 1905 as the daughter of Frank and Virginia Matticx. Following her mother's death, Zonia and her family moved to Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Hyde Park High School in 1923 and later began working in a hat shop. Matticx met Walter Thomas and married him in the 1920's. The pair had two children. She was widowed in 1949 and remarried to John Way in 1960.

Way was last reported alive in July 2015.
