Nagasaku Yamazaki (Japanese: 山﨑永作; 30 March 1899 – November 2009) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by Gerontology Research Group (GRG). He is the oldest known man ever from Akita Prefecture, Japan.
Biography[]
Yamazaki was born in Japan on 30 March 1899. Following the death of 107-year-old Ori Sasaki on 1 November 2006, he became the oldest living person in Akita Prefecture. In March 2009, he celebrated his 110th birthday, becoming the first male supercentenarian from Akita Prefecture. At the time of death, he was the second-oldest (known) living man in Japan, after Jiroemon Kimura.
Yamazaki died in Akita City, Akita Prefecture, Japan, in November 2009, at the age of 110 years, 216-245 days.
