Wilhelmina Elizabeth Hill was born in Coopers Shoot on 6 October 1908. Her father was Jack Hill. She grew up on a farm. As a child, she moved to Tyagarah, followed by a Knockrow dairy farm and then to Bondi Beach as a newlywed after marrying Percy Overall. The couple had three children: Jan, John and Toni.
Overall never smoked but enjoyed an occasional beer, her favourite being Tooheys Old. She was a keen bowler and played at the Condong, Cabarita and Pottsville Bowls Clubs for many years. Her closests described her as one strong lady who has had a positive impact on many lives.
On 20 September 2018, she became the oldest known living person in Australia following the death of Margaret Vivian. As she was 109 years old at the time, it was the first time Australia was without a supercentenarian since 2009.
Overall passed away on 21 October 2018 at the age of 110 years, 15 days. She was succeeded as Australia’s oldest known living person by Agnes Kluckhenn.
