Warina Zaya Bashou (1 July 1900? – 7 September 2012) was an unvalidated Iraqi-American supercentenarian. If her claimed age is correct, she would be the oldest person ever born in Iraq and second-oldest person to have been sworn in as a U.S. citizen.
Biography
Warina Zaya Bashou claimed to have been born in Ottoman Empire (currently Iraq) on 1 July 1900.
She moved to United States in 2003. On 13 January 2012, she took an oath of American citizenship at her home in Sterling Heights, Michigan. She credited her longevity to drinking green tea.
