Vlastimila Ceskova [Czech: Vlastimila Češková] (2 March 1905 – 7 January 2015) was a Czech centenarian who was the oldest person in the Czech Republic at the time of her deth.
Biography
Vlastimila Ceskova was born on March 2, 1905 in Mikulůvka, Austria-Hungary (now Zlin County, Czech Republic). She came from a teacher's family. Her father founded the school in the village. She also became a canner. She taught in Valašské Meziříčí, Hošťálková, but also in Růžďka. When she stopped teaching, she worked herself in the mill. She liked to watch TV and read. First of all, thrillers. Following the death of Evangelia Carasova, Vlastimila Ceskova became the oldest living person in the Czech Republic.
Ceskova died on 7 January 2015, less than two months shy of her 110th birthday.
