Tameko Shijo

Tameko Shijo (née Mochizuki) (1 January 1904 – 2016?) is a validated Japanese-born American supercentenarian who is currently in limbo.

Tameko Shijo was born in Yamanashi, Japan on 1 January 1904 and emigrated to San Francisco, California at the age of 19 when she married Kunio Shijo. They had four children but two of her sons and her husband died before Second World War. Tameko lived in her apartment until she moved in Kimochi Home, San Francisco at the age of 101. Tameko became the oldest living person in California following the death of Florence Boggs on 15 May 2016. She went to limbo in 2016 at the age of 112. Her death was later implied in Kimochi Winter Newsletter which implied that Tameko Shijo might have died between 1 April 2016 - 31 October 2016.
