Esperanza Mendoza Hermosillo (9 August 1909 – 21 April 2022) was a Mexican supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was the oldest known living person in Mexico at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Esperanza Mendoza Hermosillo was born in Veracruz, Mexico on 9 August 1909. Her parents were Arturo and Sara del Carmen.
Her husband was Pedro Huerta. By 1930 they were married both by the church and by the Civil Registry.
In August 2020, she celebrated her 111th birthday with her relatives, including her niece Coral Gamboa.
She attributed her longevity to her good temper and balanced diet.
Mendoza Hermosillo died in Mexico City, Mexico, on 21 April 2022, at the age of 112 years, 255 days.
