Sumire Hishikawa (born 21 April 1907) is a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She is the oldest known living person in Mie Prefecture, Japan.
Biography
Sumire Hishikawa was born on 21 April 1907 in Japan. She was an active ophthalmologist until the age of 100. After retiring, she moved in with her second son. On 21 May 2016, one month after her 109th birthday, she became the oldest known living person in Mie Prefecture, following the death of 110-year-old Tsuya Kameda.
Sumire Hishikawa currently lives in Suzuka, Mie Prefecture, Japan, at the age of 116 years, 363 days.
