Stefan Modrzejewski was born in Poland on 18 August 1903. He took part in the 1920 Polish-Russian War. Young Stefan was returning from school and decided to join the fighters. There was only one problem: he was under 18 years old. He asked an accidental passer-by to sign that he was his father and agreed to his participation in the war. In this way he participated in the miracle on the Vistula. He was wounded during the fighting. He lived in Grabiszynek neighbourhood with his family since 1945. After the years, when Modrzejewski memorized his first memory from Wroclaw he said: "rubble and smoke".

Biography

Stefan Modrzejewski was born in Poland on 18 August 1903. He took part in the 1920 Polish-Russian War. Young Stefan was returning from school and decided to join the fighters.
