Simone Jeanne Segoin (24 March 1907 – 28 May 2017) was a French supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was one of the oldest known people in France when she died.
Simone Segoin was born on 24 March 1907 in Aisne, France. She lived in Paris for a while before moving to Dammarie-les-Lys, France, in 1941. She became a nun in 1952. Her religious name was Soeur Marie de l’Incarnation. She later became a kindergarten teacher of literacy.
During Simone’s centenarian years, her eyesight declined, but her mental health was always stable. She was very active as a centenarian and kept up to date with the news by listening to the radio and watching the television. She became the 26th known living supercentenarian in France on 24 March 2017.
Simone Segoin passed away on 28 May 2017 at the age of 110 years, 65 days. She was one of the top 10 oldest known nuns in the world at the time of her death.
