Shingo Kitamura (18 March 1904 – 30 December 2014) was a validated Japanese supercentenarian. He was the first supercentenarian to be validated who was born in the year 1904. He passed away on 30 December 2014 at the age of 110 years, 287 days. His death date was confirmed by the Nagasaki Prefectural Library. When he was given recognition as the oldest man in his prefecture, he said that he wanted to live to be 120. [1]
