Shike Sato (16 March 1900 – 22 August 2011) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by Gerontology Research Group (GRG).


Shike Sato was born in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan on 16 March 1900, the youngest of eight siblings. She married at the age of 26 and had five children.

As of her 110th birthday, she had three living children: Yoshiko Terayama (aged 81 in 2010), Eiji Sato (aged 79 in 2010) and Yoshiko Sato (aged 75 in 2010), 10 grandchildren (including Shigeo Miyamura (aged 58 in 2010)), 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Shike Sato died in Saitama Prefecture, Japan on 22 August 2011 at the age of 111 years, 159 days. At time of her death, she was the oldest person in Saitama Prefecture.
