Sally Mae Ellis (neé True; 14 March 1907 – 15 February 2018) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group.
Biography[]
Ellis was born on a farm in Kentucky to Elonzo and Olive (née Bates) True. Growing up on said farm, she travelled to her schools and church by riding her pony.
Sally married Earl Ellis in 1927 and came to Chillicothe, Ohio, with her husband and infant son Jack in 1934, when her husband got a job in the area. She lived in Chillicotheuntil independently until she was 108, when she moved in to a nursing home.
Ellis died in Chillicothe, Ohio on 15 February 2018 at the age of 110 years, 338 days.
