Rosa Maria Barbosa (née Scapol; 28 May 1902? – 4 May 2015) was a Brazilian supercentenarian who is currently unverified.
Biography
Rosa claimed to have been born on 28 May 1902 in Botucatu, Sao Paulo, Brazil to Luiz Scapol and Victalina Galvani. She was baptized on 15 June 1902, but her baptism record says that she was born on 26 May 1902. Her parents worked on a coffee plantation. Her parents were Italian immigrants. Her mother passed away when she was only five years old. Her father moved with her to Rio de Janeiro. Barbosa's husband passed away in 1972.
She had four children, two of whom died before her. She passed away on 4 May 2015 in Sorocaba, Sao Paulo, Brazil. She was buried in Sorocaba in the San Antonio cemetery, on 5 May 2015 at 9 a.m.
