Biography
Roberta Weston claimed to have been born in Columbus, Mississippi, USA on 9 August 1887 but was more likely born on 9 August 1896 and died at age 109 instead of 118.
Weston was born to slave parents and sharecropped in her childhood. She claimed that a fire had burned the Bible that had her name and birthdate listed. There were no birth certificates issued since her parents had been slaves and they were sharecroppers.
