Regina T. Varrero (28 September 1909 – 1 April 2020) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography

Varrero was born in Northern Michigan, United States, on 28 September 1909. Her parents died when she was very young. She was taken in by a family in Bay City and helped raise her younger brother. She married a man with the surname Fagan, but raised her daughters and a son almost entirely on her own. She had 4 children: Judith Marilyn Deering (1930–2018), Rodney Fagan, Sandra Jahner and Arlene Segal

Varrero retired at the age of 65, but continued to work for her son's basket shop, then retired from there at the age of 85. At the age of 80, in tribute to her spirit, her family got her a "Wonder Woman" birthday cake. Varrero lived on her own until she hit her 100th birthday. When she was asked about her secret to long life, Varrero said: "Eating good food". In the old days, Varrero would make the trip from Bay City, Michigan, where she was living, to Detroit to see Detroit Tigers. She celebrated her 110th birthday in September 2019. At that time, she had 8 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Varrero died in Farmington Hills, Michigan on 1 April 2020 at the age of 110 years, 186 days.
