Placido Francisco da Silva (10 August 1906? – 11 June 2020) was a Brazilian supercentenarian claimant whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). If his claimed age were true, he would have been the world's oldest living man at the time of death.
Placido Francisco da Silva claimed to have been born in the State of Piaui, Brazil, on 10 August 1906. His parents were Jose Francisco da Silva and Balbina Angelica de Souza. Prior to 1958, he moved to Duere. For 25 years, he was cared for by caregiver, Maria Alice Fereira Laranjeira, up until his death.
Placido Francisco da Silva died in Duere, Tocantins, Brazil, on 11 June 2020, at the claimed age of 113 years, 306 days.
