Placida Maria do Livramento (5 October 1895 – 24 October 2009) was a Brazilian supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). If verified, she would have been the 6th oldest living person at the time of death.
Placida Maria do Livramento was born in Piaui, Brazil, on 5 October 1895. She claimed that the secret to her long life is not to rush things, not to meet death, to let things happen, not anticipate the facts or sufferings before bad things happen, and when they happen to have intelligence, to trespass them and know how to overcome them. She said that her favourite food is mango.
Placida Maria do Livramento died in Barras, Piaui, Brazil, on 24 October 2009, at the age of 114 years, 19 days.
