Nicanora Sosa viuda de Lopez [Spanish: López] (7 January 1900? – 11 April 2013) was a Paraguayan supercentenarian claimant whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). If her age is true, she could be second oldest known person ever born in Paraguay after 114-year old Casilda Benegas who is validated and lives in Argentina.
Nicanora Sosa de Lopez claimed to have been born in Caraguatay, Cordillera, Paraguay on 7 January 1900, although her relatives celebrated her birthday at 10 January. She had 10 children.
She celebrated her 113th birthday in January 2013.
Nicanora Sosa viuda de Lopez died in Ciudad del Este, Alto Parana, Paraguay on 11 April 2013 at the claimed age of 113 years, 94 days. At the time of her death, she had 80 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
