Misao Takuwa (24 January 1907 – 22 January 2018) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was the oldest known living person in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, until her death on 22 January 2018.

Misao Takuwa was born on 24 January 1907 in Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, as the daughter of a farmer. Her husband passed away in around 1976. At some point in her life, she moved to Hiroshima Prefecture. She lived independently until she was 103, when her son Toshiaki Takuwa (born 1941) moved in to look after her.

On 19 August 2016, then aged 109, Misao became the oldest known living person in Hiroshima Prefecture, following the death of 109-year-old Misako Omae of Hiroshima City. She was reported as such in September 2016 and September 2017.

Takuwa died on 22 January 2018 in Miyoshi, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, at the age of 110 years, 363 days. Her successor as Hiroshima Prefecture’s oldest person was then-110-year-old Harue Nobira (born 28 March 1907).
