Minnie "Min" Carolyn Quarnberg (née Knudson; formely Lighter; 10 December 1900 – 20 April 2012) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography

Min Quarnberg was born in Spencer, Iowa, USA on 10 December 1900. Her parents were Ole Knudson and Louisa (née Pedersen) Knudson. She had two siblings. Her mother lived to age 99.

She married Edwin Henry Lighter in Spencer, Iowa, USA on 14 October 1924. The couple had at least two children: Jane Nieland (born c.1935) and Carole Payne (born c.1937).

The couple moved in 1925 to Rapid City, where Ed Lighter bought the Rapid City Journal with its publisher R.W. Hitchcock. Lighter owned a stake in the Journal until his death in 1967.

She married Paul Richard Quarnberg in 1970. She got widowed in 1987.
