Maxima Ramona Cabrera Alfaro [Spanish: Máxima] (18 November 1893 – 13 February 2004) was an Uruguayan supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Maxima Cabrera Alfaro was born in Maldonado, Uruguay, on 18 November 1893. She lived all her life in this city and raised her children there.

She worked as a domestic worker in different houses, that is how she got to know different tourist destinations in Uruguay, such as Punta del Este or Montevideo.

She never married, but had two daughters, Rosa Inocencia (born 1910) and Irma (born 1921). Rosa Inocencia died at the age of 97 in 2008. Her daughter, Irma (born 7 April 1921), is still alive as of June 2019.

She was honored by the Board of Maldonado at the age of 110.

At the time of her 110th birthday in 2003, she had three grandchildren (Cristina, Teresa, and Ruben), seven great-grandchildren (Beatriz, Luis, Alejandra, Roberto, Diego, Andrea, and Graciela), five great-great-grandchildren (Cecilia, Analia, Andrea, Mariana, and Nicolas) and three great-great-great-grandchildren (Emiliano and Nicolas).

Cabrera Alfaro died in Maldonado, Uruguay on 13 February 2004 at the age of 110 years, 87 days.
