Frances Maude "Maudie" Wilson (neé McRobie; 23 March 1903 – 24 October 2013) was a pending New Zealand supercentenarian. She was the oldest known person in New Zealand when she died.[1]


She was born as Frances Maude McRobie on 23 March 1903 in Invercargill, New Zealand. She met her husband Bill Wilson when she was around 10 years old, they married in 1929 and were married for about 56 years. He died in 1992. They had three children named Fay, Lyndsay and Frances. Wilson had three children, nine grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She became the oldest person in New Zealand on 14 March 2011, then aged 107, following the death of 109-year-old Lena Ray. She was affectionately knowns as "Maudie".

Frances Maude Wilson passed away on 24 October 2013 in Invercargill, New Zealand, at the age of 110 years, 215 days. She was succeeded as New Zealand's oldest person by 109-year-old Peg Griffin.[2]
