Mathilde Dupray (31 October 1903 - 18 February 2016) was a verified French supercentenarian.

Early life

She was born in Le Havre, France. Her father passed away in World War 1. When Mathilde was 11, she beacme ill with the Spanish flu pandemic, but managed to survive. At age 14, she began working at a bakery. In October 1923, she married an engineer named Maxime Dupray. The couple had two daughters in total, of whom one (Annie) is still alive at age 71.

Mathilde also worked as a stenographer. She lost a brother in World War 2. During this period, she and her family relocated to Rouen. After a railway accident in 1945, Maxime was hospitalized for two years before passing away in 1947.

Later life

In March 2009, she moved to a nursing home in Breton called Blés d’Or. At age 109, it was reported that her hearing and eyesight was poor but liked to move around in her wheelchair. She is said to prefer solitude. She died on 18 February 2016 at the age of 112 years, 110 days. She was the fifth-oldest person in France at the time of her death.
