Marjorie Offen Kinne (1 August 1910 – 24 January 2022) was a British supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group.
Biography[]
Marjorie Kinne was born in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England, UK on 1 August 1910. Her first job was at a fish shop when she was age 14, and she subsequently worked in retail. She was married to Cecil Kinne, with whom she had three daughters: Myra, Cecile, and Denise.
When her husband retired, Kinne moved to Haywards Heath, West Sussex, England, UK where she lived in sheltered accommodation towards the end of her life. As of 2018, she had six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She celebrated her 110th birthday in August 2020.
Kinne died on 24 January 2022 at the age of 111 years, 176 days. At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in West Sussex and the third-oldest known living person in the United Kingdom, behind Ethel Caterham, and Rose Eaton.
