Marion Louise Davidson (née Howell; 2 February 1902 – 4 March 2012) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently pending by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).


Marion Davidson was born in Pine County, Minnesota, USA on 2 February 1902. Her parents were Sereno Howell (1862–1950) and Thekla (née Rahm) Howell (1868–1969), who lived to be 100. She had three siblings.

The family moved from Hinckley to Carleton before traveling south to Forest Lake in 1915. Her father was a brakeman and a conductor on the Northern Pacific Railway working trains running between St. Paul and Duluth.

In Forest Lake, she finished her final three years of high school. She was salutatorian for the Class of 1919, the eighth class to earn diplomas in Forest Lake High School.

She worked as a beautician, spent time in retail sales and for a number of years worked as a clerk for St. Paul Fire & Marine.

She married Robert Davidson in 1921. The couple had two daughters: Joyce Davidson (1926–2005) and Jackie Eshleman (born c.1935). The couple lived in Forest Lake for a time, but also spent years in St. Paul and lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, for a short time. She got widowed in 1966.

In 2000, Marion moved to Reno, Nevada, to live with her daughter, Joyce. Following Joyce’s death in 2005, she moved back to the Midwest, settling in an assisted living facility in New Richmond and close to her other daughter Jackie.

When Forest Lake High School celebrated its 100th graduating class in June 2011, she was named to the first Forest Lake Area Schools Hall of Fame. She was one of 66 to be honored.

Marion Davidson died in New Richmond, Wisconsin, USA on 4 March 2012 at the age of 110 years, 31 days. She is survived by one daughter Jackie Eshleman; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

At the time of her death, she was one of the oldest known people in the US state of Wisconsin and oldest known graduate of Forest Lake High School.[citation needed]
