Marie Casanova (née Falet; 8 December 1908 – 13 September 2019) was a French supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography

Marie Falet was born in Vaugirard, Paris, Ile-de-France, France on 8 December 1908. She married Jules Casanova in Lons-le-Saunier, Jura Department on 1 August 1942.

Casanova celebrated her 110th birthday in December 2018. Following the death of 112-years-old Madeleine Desert on 15 June 2019, she became the oldest living person in Ile-de-France.

Casanova died in Vaugirard, Paris, Ile-de-France, France on 13 September 2019 at the age of 110 years, 279 days. Her successor as the oldest living person in Ile-de-France was Gabrielle Ormand.
