Marie-Simone Capony (14 March 1894 – 15 September 2007) was a validated French supercentenarian.

Biography

Marie-Simone Capony was born in Rhone-Alpes, France on 14 March 1894 and died in Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azuron, France on 15 September 2007 at the age of 113 years, 185 days[1]. Of nine siblings, she was the last survivor. Her fiancé was killed at the beginning of the First World War, therefore she never married and had no children.

On 12 August 2006, she became the oldest living person in France, following the death of Camille Loiseau. She remains the oldest person ever from Rhone-Alpes.
