Marie-Ernestine Compain (23 October 1865 – 4 September 1975) was a French centenarian who held the title of oldest living person in France.

Biography

Marie-Ernestine Compain was born in France on 23 October 1865. She became the oldest living person in France after the death of Desiree Foucher and held that title until her death on 4 September 1975. She was also the last surviving French person born in the year 1865. She died at the age of 109 years, 316 days. After her death, Marie-Virginie Duhem became the oldest living French person.
