Marie-Ernestine Compain (née Mauboussin; 23 October 1865 – 4 September 1975) was a French centenarian who held the title of oldest living person in France.
Marie-Ernestine Compain was born in Mulsanne, Sarthe, Pays de la Loire, France on 23 October 1865. Her father was Auguste Mauboussin, and her mother was Anne Geslin.
On 18 April 1890, she married Henri Eugène Compain in the village she was born in.
She became the oldest living person in France after the death of Laurence Entiope and held that title until her death on 4 September 1975. She was also the last surviving French person born in the year 1865. She died at the age of 109 years, 316 days in Ecommoy, Sarthe, Pays de la Loire, France. After her death, Marie-Virginie Duhem became the oldest living French person.
