Maria Mika (23 May 1882 – 17 November 1994) was a Czech-born Austrian supercentenarian. Her case has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group. [1]
Biography
Maria Mika was born in what is now Czech Republic on 23 May 1882. At the time of her birth, what is currently Czech Republic was known as Bohemia. She was the first person in Austria to reach the age of 110 in 1992.
Mika died on 17 November 1994 at the age of 112 years, 178 days. She was (and still is) the oldest person ever to die in Austria.
