Maria Guadalupe Olvera Barron (17 December 1909 – 30 July 2021) was a Mexican supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography

Olvera Barron was born in Tacubaya, Mexico City, State of Mexico, Mexico, on 17 December 1909. Her parents were Francisco Olvera and Eutiquia Barron. Her mother lived to be 102 and her sister Cleofas (1902–2002) died at the age 99. She had 3 children.

She liked to dance and played the mandolin. Her longevity secret is to be positive and happy, and drink a lot of pulque. At the age 100, she still cooked.

On 11 March 2021 at the age 111, she received the covid-19 vaccine, making her one of oldest people to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

Olvera Barron died in Mexico City, State of Mexico, Mexico, on 30 July 2021 at the age of 111 years, 225 days. At the time of her death, she was the fourth-oldest known living in Mexico, after Juana Santos Caballero, Sofia Mendoza Valencia and Esperanza Mendoza Hermosillo.
