Maria Sidonia Berthod-Gal (2 October 1900 – 9 October 2010) was an Italian supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She is the oldest person ever to die in the Italian region of Aosta Valley (Valle d'Aosta).

Biography

Maria Berthod was born in Quart, Aosta Valley, Italy, on 2 October 1900. She married a man with the surname Gal and was later widowed.

Berthod-Gal died in Fenis, Aosta Valley, Italy, on 9 October 2010 at the age of 110 years, 7 days. She is, as of 19 April 2024, the only known supercentenarian to have died in Aosta Valley, and one of three to be born in the region.
