Madeleine Cornu (née Jehanne; 17 October 1910 – 19 May 2022) was a French supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Madeleine Cornu was born in Beaumont-le-Roger, Eure, Normandy, France on 17 October 1910. She was the daughter of Julien Jehanne (1866–1934) and Louise Leclerc (1881–1967). She had two sisters.

On 24 May 1930, she married Elie Rene Cornu (1904–1986) in Beaumont-le-Roger. They had at least three children: Gilberte (born 1931), Roger (born 1939), and Jean (born 1946).

Following the death of 110-year-old Marie Durand on 25 June 2020, Cornu became the oldest known living person in Normandy. In October 2020, she celebrated her 110th birthday.

Cornu died in Grosley-sur-Risle, Eure, Normandy, France, on 19 May 2022 at the age of 111 years, 214 days. At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in Normandy and in Eure department.
