Mabel Elizabeth Cordier (née Smith; 12 April 1903 – 16 April 2013) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was one of the oldest known people in the US state of New Jersey at the time of her death.
Mabel Cordier was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA on 12 April 1903. Her parents were George Smith and Cora (née DeFord) Smith. She had two older brothers.
She married Lee Garfield Cordier and had three children: Lee Garfield Cordier, Jr. (now deceased), Ray Hughes Cordier and Reid Smith Cordier.
After her husband died in 1960, she moved into the Collingswood household of her son Ray, and his wife Marion. She helped raise her four grandchildren.
Mabel Cordier died in Collingswood, New Jersey, USA on 16 April 2013 at the age of 110 years, 4 days. She is survived by two children Ray Hughes Cordier and Reid Smith Cordier; one daughter-in-law Marion D. Cordier; eight grandchildren Ray Hughes Cordier Jr., David Michael Cordier, Barbara Black, Carol Cordier Rawlings, Kimberlee Cordier-Burgo, Lisa Ann Veit, Michelle Scoggins and Michael Reid Cordier; 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
