Lucille Hodges (née Howell; 12 April 1905 – 23 April 2016) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Lucille Hodges was born in Cambria, Illinois, USA on 12 April 1905. Her parents were John Howell and Myrtle (née DeSett) Howell.

She married John Hodges, Sr. in Herrin, Illinois on 30 March 1923. The couple had at least two children: John Mitchel Hodges, Jr. (1924–2002) and Betty Kaebel (born 1933). She was widowed in 1978. She was a long time member of over 60 years at First Christian Church in Pekin, Illinois.

In 2014, she traveled to Madison to see her great-grandson Dylan Meyer march in the Bob Jones Marching Band.

Lucille Hodges died in Pekin, Illinois, USA on 23 April 2016 at the age of 111 years, 11 days. She is survived by one daughter Betty Kaebel, two grandsons David Meyer and John "Skip" Hodges III, two granddaughters Susan Kaebel and Corrie Bennett, 11 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
