Lillian Cardullo (née Giorgianni; 20 May 1903 – 10 March 2014) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently pending by Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was the oldest known person in Rhode Island at the time of her death.
Biography
Lillian Cardullo was born in Providence, Rhode Island, USA on 20 May 1903. Her parents were Paolo Giorgianni and Grazia (née Femmino) Giorgianni. She had five siblings. Her father died in 1968 at the age of 97 and her mother died in 1946 at the age of 70.
She quit school in the seventh grade to help support her family. She worked at the Monet Jewelry Co. She married Peter Cardullo in 1928. The couple had six children. She was widowed in 1961. She lived alone in Providence until she was 104, when she moved to Golden Crest Nursing Center. She suffered a stroke in 2007.
Lillian Cardullo died in North Providence, Rhode Island, USA on 10 March 2014 at the age of 110 years, 294 days. She is survived by her son Peter Cardullo and his wife Jeanette Cardullo and son Robert Cardullo and his wife Phyllis Cardullo, 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
