Leonora "Masima" Noel (born 9 December 1901?) is a Venezuelan-born Grenadian longevity claimant who is allegedly 119 years old.
Biography
Noel was allegedly born on 9 December 1901 in Venezuela. When she was seven years old, her mother died in childbirth. Her father brought her to his home country of Grenada, where she was raised by her aunts on the island of Carriacou. She lived with them in a hut made of straw held together with cow dung. As a young woman, Noel earned money by breaking stones into rubble used to build roads on the island.
Noel currently lives with her octogenarian daughter in a small wooden house above the village of L’Esterre, Carriacou. She recently saw the arrival of her first great-great grandchild. In 2016, it was reported that a birthday telegram from Queen Elizabeth II got lost in the post, so a replacement was sent.
Age issue
Noel and her family have not produced any documentation supporting her claimed age. If her age was validated, she would be the oldest validated person in the world since the death of Chiyo Miyako of Japan on 22 July 2018.
