Kohachi Shigetaka (重高 小八 Shigetaka Kohachi) (10 May 1895 - 3 July 2005) was a validated Japanese supercentenarian.

Biography

Kohachi Shigetaka was born in Japan on 10 May 1895. He was the oldest male in Japan from 30 July 2004 until his death from pneumonia, on 3 July 2005, aged 110 years, 54 days. Shigetaka was Japan's first male supercentenarian since Yukichi Chuganji, who died over one and a half years before Shigetaka reached supercentenarian status.
