Jon Hannesson (20 June 1912 – 26 November 2017) was an Icelandic centenarian who was the oldest living man in Iceland since the death of Georg Olafsson on 22 February 2017.
Jón Hjaltalín Hannesson was born in Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland on 20 June 1912. He received a master's degree in electrical engineering and worked as an independent electrical and electrical engineering, but by far, he worked as a engineer.
Jon drove a car until he was 103 years old and on his 101st birthday he went with his children to Tuscany in Italy.
Jon died in Kópavogur, the second-largest municipality of Iceland, on 26 November 2017 at the age of 105 years, 159 days.
