John Tromanhauser (16 May 1860 – 26 February 1970) was an Canadian-American centenarian who may have been the world's oldest living man at time of his death, if his age is validated.

Biography

John Tromanhauser was born in Canada on 16 May 1860.

He was once a fruit rancher in White Bluffs, Washington, where he won numerous prizes for his pears and apples, during his younger years. He married and had six children. His wife died around 1949 at the age of 88.

He was a resident of Bay Area for some 16 years. He had resided at the Pleasant Hill Convalescent Hospital since 1963.

John Tromanhauser died in Pleasant Hill, California, USA on 26 February 1970 at the age of 109 years, 286 days. He was survived by three children Edmond, Jesse and Leslie; two brothers Will Tromanhauser and Stanley Tromanhauser; 23 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
