Anneke (Johanna) van Dommelen-Hamer (20 October 1885 - 7 May 1996) was a Dutch supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in the Netherlands.
Biography
Johanna van Dommelen-Hamer was born in the town of Groesbeek in the province of Gelderland, Netherlands, on 20 October 1885. According to an article in a newspaper about her 100th birthday, it was mentioned that she always celebrated her birthday on the 20th of October, because according to Mrs. Van Dommelen-Hamer herself, she was born on 20 October at 0:05am, but her birth certificate from the municipality, wrongly, mentioned that she was born on 19 October at 23:00pm.
Johanna van Dommelen-Hamer passed away in Groesbeek, Gelderland, Netherlands, on 7 May 1996 at the age of 110 years and 200 days.
