Joaquim Illas i Illas (born 26 July 1909) is a Spanish supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). He is the second-oldest living man in Spain, behind Saturnino de la Fuente Garcia.
Illas i Illas (affectionaly known as "Falet") was born in Carrer de Roig i Jalpi (Blanes), Girona, Catalonia, Spain, on 26 July 1909. He was the eldest of four brothers. His first office was in a sprawler (as his father's, who also worked as a fisherman), an industry that was then very important in the city. Later in life, he worked as a mechanic and supermarket manager. He also worked at the "Can Tosas" factory for seven years.
He was married and had at least one child, a daughter.
At the some point of his life, he moved to Bordeaux, France, where he worked in repairing of ships. He spent a year in France. In the 1950s, after having been working in factories and workshops for many years, Illas decided to fully devote himself to the family store, where one of the workers was his wife. He worked there until the age of 90.
In June 2018, he said that the secret of his longevity is a balanced diet with a lot of vegetables. Illas celebrated his 110th birthday in July 2019.
His nickname "Falet" he got from his father, who was also known as “Rafelet” and “Falet”.
Illas currently lives in Blanes, Catalonia, Spain, at the age of 110 years, 208 days.
