Jeno Homonnay [Hungarian: Homonnay Jenő] (9 December 1913 – 23 November 2020) was a Hungarian centenarian who was the oldest known living man in Hungary at the time of his death.

Biography[]

Jeno Homonnay was born in Gyöngyös, Heves County, Austria-Hungary (now Hungary) on 9 December 1913.

As a young man, he learned to ski. He graduated as a teacher of mathematics, physics and chemistry in 1936. After his schools, he went up to Pest to look for work. He ended up at the Péti Petroleum Industry Company. He married during World War II. He retired in 1980. He was still able to ski at the age of 100.

He became the oldest known living man in Hungary following the death of 106-year-old Jozsef Kasalyak on 29 February 2020. He lived in a nursing home in Várpalota, Veszprém County, Hungary.

Jeno Homonnay died in Várpalota, Veszprém County, Hungary on 23 November 2020 at the age of 106 years, 350 days.
