Jean-Clementus Amano (7 October 1908 – 15 June 2019) was a French supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group.

Biography

Amano was born on the French island of Reunion, in the commune of Saint-Joseph. He claimed to have been born in June 1907; however, according to Les Grands Centenaires Francais, his actual date of birth is 7 October 1908. Amano is the oldest known man ever from Réunion, surpassing the record of Theophane Rifosta (1889–1999) in mid-2018.

Amano died in Saint-Joseph, Reunion, France, on 15 June 2019 at the age of 110 years, 251 days. He was the second-oldest living man in France, behind Roger Auvin.
