Jasper Britt "Jack" Bennett (3 January 1893 – 7 May 2003) was an American supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of his death, he was the oldest American World War I veteran.

Biography

Jasper Bennett was born in Offerman, Georgia, USA on 3 January 1893. His parents were Hershal Bennett (1858–1933) and Isabel (née Patterson) Bennett (1856–1946).

He married Frances Elizabeth Maddox in Douglas, Georgia on 10 August 1930. The couple had six children: June Elizabeth Lindsey (1934–2002), Jack Bennett Jr., Nick Bennett, Ray Bennett, Carolyn Pilkinton, Milva Knight. They also had one daughter who died in childhood.

In 1997, the couple received the honor of being recognized by the Tifton Gazette as the longest married couple in Tifton and then the Valentine Couple in 1999. They were married for 72 years and nine months at the time of his death. His wife died in 2009 at the age of 97.

Jasper Bennett died in Tifton, Georgia, USA on 7 May 2003 at the age of 110 years, 124 days.
