Johannes Leendert "Jan" van der Giessen (17 December 1899 – 19 March 2008) was a Dutch centenarian who was the oldest known living man in the Netherlands at the time of his death.
Van der Giessen was born in Rozenburg on 17 December 1899. He worked as an insurance agent and retired at the age of 65. He moved to Rotterdam in 1936 and lived there for the next 72 years.
Van der Giessen became the oldest living Dutchman on 7 June 2006 when Jan Voogt Pzn died at the age of 106. He died on 19 March 2008, after his health deteriorated after breaking his hip. He was the last known man in the Netherlands born in the 19th century.
