James Henderson Holt (25 December 1865 – 7 January 1977) was an American man noted for his longevity. He was born in Edwards, Illinois as the son of Joseph and Martha Pelham Holt. He lost both his parents in 1868 and was orphaned along with his three brothers.
The brothers were sent to Cannon, Tennessee and raised by acquaintances of their parents. They came to Ozark, Missouri in the 1870s and James married Clara Hyder in Lamar, Missouri on 1 November 1899. The couple had five children. He was widowed in 1937 and he later remarried to an unknown woman.
James Holt died in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on 7 January 1977, aged 111 years, 13 days. His claim is currently unverified.
