Hisa Ono [Japanese: 小野ヒサ] (8 December 1905 – 4 September 2019) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography

Hisa Ono was born in Shiroishi, Saga Prefecture, Japan on 8 December 1905. Her father was the mayor of Shiroishi Village while running a bookstore. In her youth, before getting married, she helped run her family’s bookstore, and when she was in her 20s, she married Goro, a teacher at a Japanese school in South Korea. The couple had four children (two sons and two daughters). After World War II ended, she returned from Korea with her family and ran a clothing store with her husband in Shiroishi.

From the age of 93 to 105, she lived with her sons and grandchildren, and she moved to a local hospital at the age of 105. At the age of 106, she became the oldest living person in Ogi City, and her name was published in the Ogi City Public Relations Paper every September from 2012 to 2018.

Hisa Ono died in Ushizucho Ushizu, Ogi, Saga Prefecture, Japan on 4 September 2019 at the age of 113 years, 270 days. At the time of death, she was the second-oldest known living person in Saga Prefecture, after Shigeyo Nakachi of Saga City.
