Henry Tseng was born on July 12 1907 in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. At some point in his life, he moved to Shanghai, China, and then Hong Kong, where he worked as an entrepreneur. He moved to Los Angeles, California with his wife in 1975. He joined the YMCA in 1978.
