Henrine Lee (née Quinn; 27 July 1904 – 12 May 2015) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently pending by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was one of the oldest known people in the US state of California at the time of her death.
Biography
Henrine Lee was born in Starkville, Mississippi, USA on 27 July 1904. She was the fifth of eight children born to Henry Quinn and Mattie (née Hughes) Quinn. Her father was a farmer and her mother was a teacher, principal and superintendent. She graduated from high school in Starkville, Mississippi and attended Rust College in Holly Springs, Mississippi where she taught one year and operated a family business.
She married Samuel D. Lee on 4 July 1927. She had six children (all still alive on her 106th birthday), 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She lived with her oldest daughter Yvonne Lee (aged 80 in 2010).
Henrine Lee died in Inglewood, California, USA on 12 May 2015 at the age of 110 years, 289 days.
